Comparison of Albumin/Globulin (A/G) Ratio Between Pregnant and Lactation of Thin-Tail Sheep

The albumin/globulin (A/G) ratio can be an immunological indicator of sheep which influenced by reproductive status such as pregnant and lactation conditions. However, a study A/G during in thin-tailed is still lack. This aimed to determine the levels pregnancy lactation. used twelve ewes sheeps (seven sheeps, five lactating sheeps) rearing Berbah, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Blood samples were collected through jugular vein filled into EDTA tube then albumin total protein measured. globulin calculated subtracting with albumin. mean was 0.72±0.18, 0.57±0.15, respectively. Statistical analysis showed that there no significantly difference between (P>0.05). In conclusion, physiological (pregnancy versus lactation) had significant effect on sheep.
